Bridgetown is situated in the Blackwood River Valley in the heart of the South West of Western Australia. All the wonderful sights of the area, including the south coast, Margaret River and the magnificent Karri forests are all only an hour or so away.
Starts at the bridge across the Blackwood River and runs along the north bank for about 2 kms.
The famous track runs to the west of Bridgetown and various sections can be walked through spectacular Jarrah and Karri forests. For those who are doing the Bibblulum walk, a pickup/drop off service can be arranged.
There are several walks around the Greenbushes area through forests and the old historic tin mining sites.
20 kms west of Bridgetown on the Brockman Highway is the Bridgetown Jarrah Park. There are two trails commemorating the early timber history of the area. The Tree Fallers trail is 2.6 kms long and takes about an hour. The Shield Tree Trail is 700 metres and takes about 20 minutes. There is a picnic area at the entrance to the park. The walk takes you through beautiful Jarrah and Karri forest.
Pick up a Walk Trail booklet at the Visitor Centre for detailed maps and information.
